The strategic purpose of Moscow CCI is the assistance to development of eterprise activity in Moscow, creation of favourable conditions for trade and economic, scientific and technical liaisons of businessmen of Moscow with regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries; protection of interests of businessmen in bodies of legislative, executive, judicial authority and in the international organisations, in preparation and realisation of regional economic programs and investment projects.
The organisational work of the Chamber with its members in view of their professional features is bases on formation of guilds, which unite enterprises similar in profile, and professional committees. Today they total accordingly 18 and 12, process of their formation still being on. Integration of members of the Chamber in such unions allows to consolidate efforts in protection of their rights and promotion of their interests.
Promoting restoration and strengthening of inter-regional economic relations, the Chamber has signed cooperation agreements with 22 regional CCIs. MCCI and regional chambers of 13 areas of the Russian Federation have founded the Central Russia CCI Association headed by Y.I. Kotov, MCCI Chairman of Board. The Chamber actively promotes economic and scientific and technical cooperation with foreign countries, an establishment of direct communications between firms and enterprises of Moscow and foreign states. For these purposes, the MCCI Foreign Trade Directorate has been created, which organizes joint conferences, seminars, consultations of representatives of business and scientific circles of Moscow and foreign countries, holds meetings and negotiations with the interested parties.
MCCI actively works in the sphere of fairs and exhibitions. The Directorate on Exhibition Activity provides members MCCI with all complex of services on participation in exhibitions, including construction of standard and exclusive stands in Moscow, other regions of the Russian Federation and abroad. The Decree of Mayor of Moscow Y.M.Luzhkov gave MCCI powers of the Methodical Center of Exhibition Business. Tens collective expositions in Moscow, stands of events in the capital at exhibitions in the regions are annually organized.
Business and vocational training is the priority sphere of the MCCI activity. At the Chamber the Center of Business and Vocational Training is created, which, within a year, holds seminars and conferences dedicated to the issues of increase of the modern economy level by enterprises.
Information service is provided to MCCI members and clients by Directorate on Information and Analytical Activity, which carries out marketing researches and analysis in the field of commercial information, supports Moscow enterprises in promotion of their goods and services to the market by entering the information on their offers into the database of the MCCI information system, and into the Interne as well. The information is available on potential partners not only in Moscow, but also in the regions of the Russian Federation, taking into account the wide network of regional chambers of the CCI system in RF (more than 150 regional chambers). "MCCI Bulletin" newsletter including appendices is released, in which the Directorate informs on the major regulative and legal acts and the current events of the economic life of Moscow and the Russian Federation, events occurring in MCCI and new services provided by the Chamber.
MCCI pays especially great attention to protection of commodity producers in the capital. In 1998, according to the Decree of Mayor of Moscow , the Bureau of Economic Safety (BES) has been established, providing complex legal support to businessmen, protecting them against unreasonable requirements of supervising bodies.
